The Boathouse Vino Rosso is a real charmer, a versatile food friendly red blend.  Italian varieties Sangiovese and Montepulciano deliver a mouth-watering juicy fruit profile that harmonises with the structure of the French Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot.  Juicy dark red fruit of sweet cherry, plum and blackberries are balanced by a toasted oak backdrop and long, dry fine tannins.  A perfect partner for lighter dishes as well as game and pasta.

The Landing Vineyard sits above The Boathouse on the Purerua Peninsula has been farmed for over a century, the vines have been selectively planted on the dry north facing slopes that naturally moderate vigour ensuring high quality, well balanced wines.

Hand-plunged in open-top fermenters, each variety is treated individually to best express its varietal and site characteristics. After pressing, the juices are aged for up to 12 months in French oak barriques before blending and bottling.

This wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Montepulciano, and Merlot grapes, made from 100 percent hand-picked, estate-grown fruit.
