Our third year at the annual wine event gave us the chance to meet old friends and make new ones.
The annual Winetopia fair’s Auckland edition was held on from 14-15 June at Shed 10, and The Landing Wines were there with a stall at the event for the third year in a row.
We were one of two Northland stands representing the region and enjoyed two days of catching up with friends of The Landing Wines, meeting new clients and enjoying the amazing atmosphere and entertainment.
Keith Barker was on-site to share the background of The Landing Wines – including the historic aspects of our unique site – and offer tastings of our 2017 Chardonnay, 2014/2015 Syrah and The Landing Port.
This year there was a particularly high level of interest in the 2014 Syrah, a dark, black-fruited wine noted for being a “deep, almost inky Syrah with plum, dark berry, liquorice, wood-smoke and nutty oak flavours,“ by wine reviewer Bob Campbell. Bob further describes it as “an elegant and accessible wine from a top vintage, a serious Syrah that’s a standout wine from the far north.”
Many visitors to the stand registered for our specialist newsletter to receive regular updates on our upcoming vintages, award wins, and progress reports on the winery that we’re building near to our beautiful vineyard at The Landing. Click here to sign up yourself.
